green rocks

back to school (work)

It is now September and the summer is winding down, so my colors are moving to darker and natural colors of the fall foliage. There is something to say about those rich jewel colors of autumn. I find the nice relaxing days in my studio gone. I am back inspiring the young minds of high school kids again. I come home and I am tired, so I am not producing as much. I know I must push myself and get ready for the holidays and guild show. The Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. Come check out my new booth design and all my new creations.

summer vacation

I am on vacation and not in my studio producing anything, BUT I have been relaxing at the beach and enjoying the warmth of the sun and fun with my family. The polymer is a little sticky in the heat, so when the weather cools a bit I will have many ideas to create. Inspiration is all around me at one of my favorite places to go,so I will get my beach chair and sunscreen and head to the beach while I can. I should also bring my sketchbook!!!! Enjoy this great time of the year.

Art on the Green in Plymouth Ma, at Pine Hills.

What a nice day for a show...It really is a nice spot and the people always seem to appreciate handmade items. Over 90 venders were there. I am a very proud Mom of KMS Jewels & Design. Kate had 3 tables "choco block full". I think the quality of her jewelry and the reasonable prices were the best of the show. It gets better each year. Congratulations Kate!
The flower arrangement wasn't bad either! I had to shake all the water off them as I cut them that morning! BUT better rain the night before than at the show! I enjoyed sharing the time with my daughter, It is so nice that she loves the same things I do. How lucky am I?

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there, especially my husband, even if he isn't home for his special day, out to sea working once again. To my father in law who is the best... enjoy your day, well deserved. A special thanks to my own Dad who I know is in heaven, thanks for giving me my artistic talents, You didn't get to meet Kate but she would have melted your heart, and made you feel why it is so great to have grand children!

Saturday June 18th , 2011 my very talented daughter, Kate, will be having a show with all of all her beautiful handmade jewelry. Unlike her Mother, who works in plastic!!! she does sterling silver! So if you are around on Saturday stop by to say hi and buy some nice stuff. Can you tell I am a proud parent??? I am her helper all day and the driver... Yes she needs to get her licence soon... Hope to see you there, hope for sunshine!

An inspirational Saturday

I just got back from visiting with a friend and got to see her beautiful studio that her husband built for her. It was to die for. Her collections from the beach made me want to go treasure hunting. She always makes me feel so good about myself, and to be thankful for all that I have, a beautiful family, a husband that believes in me, and a home that I cherish but hate to clean.

Thanks Deb!
